Do I have to have a reservation to use the aerial park?
A reservation is required so that we can efficiently manage the aerial park operations.  Without a reservation we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your needs.  Reservations must be made with 24hours confirmed notice.

Does an adult need to accompany my child in the children’s park?
It is mandatory to accompany a child under 14 years of age in the children’s park.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

What is your policy on additions to a reservation?
If you would like to add participants to join your group, please note that we will make our best to accommodate your request. We have to respect the limit of people per departure. Security and exceptional client service are our priorities!

I reserved for the aerial park in the morning, but it is raining outside.  Should I still go?
All activities take place rain or shine with the exception of heavy rain or storms. Chutes Coulonge reserves the right to determine if the activities will take place or be cancelled.  In case of a cancellation by Chutes Coulonge, we will attempt to notify all reserved contacts; however, we suggest that you call the site if you have any questions. If Chutes Coulonge cancels the activities, clients will be reimbursed.

What happens if there is a thunderstorm while we are using the aerial park?
In our experience, a thunderstorm never lasts long.  If it does not appear that the storm will pass, we will issue rain-checks for a future return visit. THERE ARE NO CASH REFUNDS.

What is the minimum height requirement for the aerial park?
Children’s course: Minimum 1.10 m (3ft 7’)
Adult course: Minimum 1.46 m (4ft 10’)

Children must be able to understand the warning signs which require them to attach their clasps to the safety line at all times, and have the motor skills to do so.  Children 1.46 m (4ft10’) tall are allowed to take the adult trails, but must be accompanied by an adult.

What should I wear if I am using the installation?
Please wear appropriate outdoor attire, closed toe running shoes, long hair must be pulled back.  Please note the aerial park takes place in pine trees and therefore the gum of the tree can end up on clothing and hands.  We are not responsible for damage to your clothing. 

Can I stop to eat a picnic and return to the activities after a break?
You can stop for water or for a five-minute break, but the course must be completed within the equipment rental period.

If you have a morning activity, you may picnic at our location after your activities and for those doing afternoon activities we invite you to arrive early and have lunch prior to your departure.

Can I stop my activity at any time?
You can stop at any time. There are exit areas between each trail. If you decide to stop completely, there is no refund.

 

Children's Aerial Challenge | Zip Line Series | Canyon Zip Line | VIA Ferrata

Children's Aerial Challenge

Children’s aerial course is 100 m long ranging in height from 2m (6ft) to 4.5m (16ft) with a total of 13 obstacles. Obstacles include a 25 m zip line, suspended barrels, bridge jumps, line walks and a toboggan slide.  This course requires safety equipment and is available only under the supervision and management of qualified site personnel.

 

 

A second, self-contained, five obstacle course is also available for the little ones who are not quite up to the height or weight requirements of the children’s course.  This requires no safety equipment, but parents must supervise their children at all times.

 

Zip Line Series

The Zip line series is 280 m (918ft) in length and varying 8-12 m (26-40ft) in height.  An opportunity for thrill seekers to experience this magnificent site with a bird’s eye view, a first for the Pontiac, guaranteed to speed up your heart rate and show you a new perspective.

 

Canyon Zip Line

One giant 250m+ (820ft)  zip down our ragged canyon.  An experience guaranteed to take your breath away!  This thrill ride rockets you to the far side of our water chasm to a secluded lookout built only for those brave enough to take this leap.  Participants will return to the main site by crossing a newly installed cable footbridge 25m (82ft) long and climbing 15m (50ft) up our canyon rock wall at “Devil’s Dihedral”.  Participants will mount safely, aided by the use of installed handholds and footholds in the canyons rock face.  Once on solid ground again, participants can follow a newly constructed trail 10 minutes to return to the chalet.

VIA Ferrata

This new adventure activity will offer participants the best vantage point to visit the site.  Via Ferrata, Latin for “iron roads,” is quite literally an iron trail along our prehistoric rock face.  To participate in this unique and daring adventure exploration, participants must first brave the giant zip line and cross the George Bryson cable footbridge to gain access to the departure point of the Via Ferrata.  The Via Ferrata runs 500m (1640ft) up the gorge towards our spectacular natural waterfall.  Just past the midway point participants may exit the installation rejoining the main site.   For those who wish to continue their journey and challenge their dexterity, they will resume the “iron trail” crossing underneath a rock shelf and balancing on a 46m (150ft) cable tightrope over the chasm.  The final challenge will be to ascend the steepest and sheerest section of rock wall to exit in a slanted forest shelf adjacent the concrete log slide.  From this point, participants will remain attached to a security cable and follow a single foot path  to the log slide where they rejoin the main groomed trail for the site.

 

 

This is truly a thrilling adventure experience!
